Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM)Equipment installation support using JCM

The Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) contributes to reducing GHG emissions on a global scale by spreading outstanding Japanese low-carbon technologies. YUASA TRADING has experience applying and obtaining approval for several JCM model projects.

1.Overview of the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM)

Japan has established and implements the JCM for appropriately evaluating the contributions from Japan to the reduction or removal of GHG emissions in a quantitative manner through the diffusion of decarbonizing technologies, products, systems, services and infrastructure. JCM also helps Japan achieve its emission reduction target by implementation of mitigation actions in developing and other countries.

2.Track record of JCM

This project is to install a solar power system to an automotive parts factory with the JCM Eco Lease Scheme.
Electricity generated by the solar system is used for their self-consumption and reduces greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by replacing part of the grid electricity.
This is the first introduction of the JCM Eco Lease Scheme in Mexico.

Expected GHG Emission Reductions:392 tCO2-eq./year
